Ondo Finance is bringing 24/7 access to tokenized U.S. Treasuries on the XRP Ledger (XRPL).
Institutional investors will gain access to Ondo Short-Term U.S. Government Treasuries (OUSG), a fund backed by the BlackRock USD Institutional Digital Liquidity Fund (BUIDL). OUSG can be minted and redeemed instantly, 24/7, using the stablecoin, Ripple USD (RLUSD).
By introducing OUSG to the XRPL, Ondo Finance offers an institutional onchain solution with three key benefits. First, institutional-grade security ensures OUSG is backed by short-term US Treasuries and managed with strict Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance. Additionally, XRPL's compliance tools including Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs) further add to regulatory compliance.
Secondly, accessible liquidity allows institutional investors to benefit from high-quality, low-risk liquidity solutions via OUSG and RLUSD. Third, scalable blockchain technologies ensures that XRPL’s high throughput, low fees, and reliability support seamless tokenization and trading of RWAs.
“The 24/7 intraday settlement enabled by tokenized assets like OUSG marks a transformative shift in capital flow management, breaking free from traditional trading hours and slow settlements," said Markus Infanger, senior vice president, RippleX.
"These low-risk, high- quality liquidity options not only provide better accessibility for investors but also introduce greater stability to blockchain-based markets. By addressing key barriers with Ondo Finance, this innovation supports the broader adoption of DeFi and positions the XRPL as a cornerstone for institutional-grade financial solutions.”

The demand for tokenized U.S. Treasuries like OUSG has surged with analysts predicting that the tokenized asset market will grow to $16 trillion by 2030.
Ondo Finance has already surpassed $600 million in total value locked (TVL), making it the first tokenized U.S. Treasuries platform to do so. OUSG was also the first tokenized U.S. Treasuries fund and provides qualified investors
