Coinfest Asia is returning to Bali on 24-25 August 2023, looking to attract web3 participants from around the world.
The inaugural edition, held last year, hosted more than 2,000 people from over 50 countries, ranging from retail investors, institutional giants, regulators and armies of degens.
This year, Coinfest Asia is carrying a new theme titled Converge, which aims to converge web3 and web3 industries into web2.5.
Felita Setiawan, director of ICN, organizer of Coinfest Asia, said the event is aimed to contribute to the growth of web3 "especially in Asia."
Companies will be able to showcase their products and build partnerships with both web3 and web2 firms. The event also targets "crypto enthusiasts, fund managers, developers, creators, to regulators."

Coinfest describes web2.5 as the "blockchain business that lives between web3 and web3." Web2.5 suits consumers looking to take advantage of the blockchain but do not want the hassle of blockchain-based. systems.
Brands such as Nike and Starbucks are listed as benefiting from web2.5. Nike announced the creation of .SWOOSH, a Web3 platform whilst Starbucks started its blockchain-based loyalty program last December.
