Singapore’s First Metaverse Festival Launches This Week

Singapore’s first metaverse festival is coming to Somerset Youth Park and Decentraland on Wednesday.

Singapore’s first metaverse festival is coming to town on Wednesday. Titled “NFTASIA Chapter Two: Crossing Worlds”, the event is supported by The Sandbox, Decentraland and National Youth Council.

Kicking off on Wednesday 21 December until February 23 December from 5pm until 10pm, the event will be held physically in Somerset Youth Park and virtual in the Decentraland metaverse.

Projects from Singapore and Asia involving the metaverse, web3 and NFTs wil be showcased alongside a variety of interactive experiences. Prominent projects featured at the event include CGAME, Art Tokyo Global, The AceMeta Company, Xctuality and HISO.

Internationally acclaimed Singaporean artists Dharni, Glenn Yong and Tosh Rock will be providing the entertainment.

The event follows NFTASIA’s launch in September 2022, which was attended by Snoop Dogg’s son Champ Medici, footballer Keisuke Honda, and Twitch Co-Founder Kevin Lin.

Last month, Decentraland featured iconic Singapore locations to commemorate the Merlion’s 50th birthday in partnership with ingapore Tourism Board and Millennium Hotels and Resorts (M Social).
