Jason Choi and Darryl Wang have announced the launch of Singapore-headquarted web3 fund Tangent Ventures – an “angel collective designed to help founders navigate the crypto landscape.”

Choi, the host of podcast Blockcrunch, was previously the GP of Spartan Capital, while ex-JP Morgan investment banker Wang was also previously principal at DeFiance Capital.

According to a Twitter post by Wang, Tangent aims to “combine the best of what Web 3 has to offer with investing structures from Web 2.”

According to the fund’s deck, Tangent will make three to five investments per batch, providing media, technical, legal and auditing resources for its startups, with no management fees.

Applications are open for the current round, until 31 July.
